Founding Story of The Gathering Place Micro School
We Ditched the Broken System—Now We’re Changing the Game
Traditional schools weren’t built for every child. We saw bright, curious students dimmed by rigid structures, standardized testing, and an outdated system that left them uninspired, unseen, or just plain stuck. And when it hit home with my own daughter, I knew it was time to stop complaining and start creating something better.
Enter The Gathering Place, where education is personal, learning is flexible, and girls are empowered to own their time, their learning, and their future. We threw out the one-size-fits-all model and built a microschool designed to nurture creativity, confidence, and real-world skills. Want to know how (and why) we did it?
